The house of desires
Returning home after a few days away, I felt the valley where I live draw me in a true embrace of home. This feeling inspired The Houses series: four charcoal drawings that explore the meaning of "home" beyond just the building. Home is a place in your heart where you long to get lost, an intimate and emotional landscape where every perspective, even the most unexpected, feels familiar and welcoming.
The treehouse represents a childhood dream of mine, something I always wanted but could never have, especially since living in the city meant no trees to build one on. But now, immersed among the trees, whenever I see one that calls to me, I imagine what my very own treehouse could be like.
