The knight in Castello

Riflessi e riflessioni

Castello is a village in Valsolda where I had the privilege of living, a magical, medieval place perched above the lake that immediately captured my heart. The Knight in Castello is a reflection of the village entrance merged with a medieval knight's helmet. It represents the love for the village, which had become home, protection from the siege of daily worries, and at the same time, the melancholy of departing for distant battles. It's a tribute to the place and the feelings it evokes.

This drawing makes me even prouder because it's part of the permanent collection at the Museo Casa Paolo Pagani, which is located right in Castello, Valsolda (Como), Italy.
